Students of the SABAH group of the Faculty of Medicine of NSU participated in a practical lesson at the Duzdag Treatment Center

On December 20, a practical lesson was organized for the students of the 2nd year SABAH groups of the Medical Faculty of Nakhchivan State University majoring in "Medicine" at the Duzdag Treatment Center. It was held under the leadership of Ilaha Zeynalova, head of the Rehabilitation Chair of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Hospital. During the lesson, the students were given detailed information about the importance of climate therapy in physiotherapy, the healing properties of salt, the fields of application of the salt environment for various diseases, indications and contraindications. It was noted that the natural salt environment plays an important role in the treatment of diseases of the respiratory system, and this method is widely used in modern physiotherapy.

Students got to know the modern conditions, treatment wards and the treatment process implemented in the Duzdag Treatment Center. At the same time, they got detailed information about the history of Duzdag, the stages of formation of salt mines and their importance from the point of view of health tourism. The students who got acquainted with the examples of medical, scientific-popular and fiction literature stored in the library reviewed the existing book fund here. It was noted that this kind of educational environment plays an important role in ensuring the psychological comfort of those receiving treatment and increasing the effectiveness of the treatment process.

In her speech, Ilaha Zeynalova gave extensive information about the mineral composition of Nakhchivan salt, its therapeutic advantages and the possibilities of its application in physiotherapy. It was reported that Nakhchivan salt ranks second in the world after Himalayan salt in terms of quality and mineral composition and has different characteristics from other salt mines.

It was emphasized that consistent work is being done in the direction of increasing the quality of medical services, applying modern technologies and expanding the infrastructure in accordance with international standards. It was noted that such practical lessons make an important contribution to the strengthening of students' theoretical knowledge in a practical environment, the formation of professional skills and deeper preparation for future professional activities.
