The UNEC delegation visited the English-oriented Gymnasium and International Cambridge School under NSU

The UNEC delegation visited the English-oriented Gymnasium and International Cambridge School operating under the Nakhchivan State University and met with students and teachers within the framework of the project "Science is beautiful: from school to science".

Before the meeting, students of the VII grade of the International Cambridge School presented their scientific projects on the subject "Science". During the presentations, students demonstrated their ability to conduct research and present scientific results.

Guests also got acquainted with the numerous medals and diplomas won by Gimnasium student Kismet Talibov in various Olympiads and knowledge competitions in mathematics.

At the same time, the delegation inspected the STEAM Center and laboratories operating in the school.

Rector of Nakhchivan State University Elbrus Isayev, who opened the event with an introductory speech, gave detailed information about the educational process conducted in both schools. The Rector noted that the educational institutions in question started operating within the framework of the "State Program for the socio-economic development of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for the years 2023-2027". Elbrus Isayev also pointed out that the construction of a new school building will begin in the near future and that both schools will operate in separate buildings. They spoke on the topic "Popularization of science in Azerbaijan: special impetus to intellectual development". In the speeches, they talked about the promotion of science, the preservation of the Azerbaijani language and the values given to this language.  It was reported that the educational system applied in these schools plays an important role in expanding the worldview of students and raising their intellectual level.
