The seventh International Agricultural Congress was held at Nakhchivan State University

Before the congress, the guests laid flowers in front of the monument of the national leader of our people Heydar Aliyev erected in the center of Nakhchivan, and visited the Heydar Aliyev Museum.

The event began with a minute of silence commemorating the dear memories of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey, as well as the martyrs who died for the Motherland.

Then the national anthems of Azerbaijan and Turkey were played. announced at the event. It was noted that there are joint cooperations with many universities of the brotherly country in various fields, among which specialties in the field of agriculture occupy an important place. It was reported that holding the congress among higher education institutions will contribute to the training of qualified personnel in this direction in the future. Rector welcomed the guests and wished success to the work of the congress. Asip Kaya expressed confidence that the information provided at the VII International Agricultural Congress will be useful for university academic staff and students. It was emphasized that in the last three years, many declarations and Memorandums of Understanding have been signed between Turkey and Azerbaijan in the field of agriculture. Cengiz Arslan, chairman of the Chameli municipality of the province, talked about the strong cooperation between Turkey and Azerbaijan in the field of agriculture. It was reported that due to global warming and the rapid depletion of water resources, food security has become the most important priority of the countries due to the decrease in agricultural production in the world. Music and dance numbers performed in a national and patriotic spirit created a pleasant atmosphere for the participants of the event. Mahur and shur classifications performed by singers, yellow bride and naz elema dances, Azerbaijani songs, folk dances performed by zurna, and el havas in music were greeted with applause.

Then mutual gifts were presented.

Congress continued its work with regional sessions. More than 70 speakers from 7 countries of the world participated in the ongoing congress with 61 topics in 3 halls.  

Freshwater fish farming at the Technical College of Nakhchivan State University, Pruning and its importance in fruit growing, Problems arising during greenhouse cultivation, Lavender plant cultivation and its importance for Nakhchivan, Potato cultivation and its importance, Comparison of wheat grown in dry and wet conditions and other topics were heard. the use of artificial intelligence and reports on a number of topics were heard.

The department meetings continued in the form of questions and answers.

A certificate was presented to the participants at the end of the two-day congress.
