On 31 October, a collaboration meeting was held at Nakhchivan State University (NSU) between NSU and Düzce University of Turkiye.
During the meeting, Rector of NSU, Elbrus Isayev, provided information about the history, development, and current activities of the university. He emphasised that NSU, which has a modern and multi-profile education system, is one of the leading higher education institutions in the country with its modern campus located on an area of 108 hectares. The university maintains direct partnerships with nearly 150 universities across the world, with Turkish universities occupying a prominent place among its international collaborations. In addition, among the contingent of approximately 1,800 international students from 23 countries, students from various regions of Turkiye stand out in terms of numbers. The Rector highlighted the university’s multifaceted approach to personnel training, noting that NSU offers programmes in nearly 250 fields. International collaborations are being strengthened through initiatives such as the IELTS and SAT Registration and Examination Centre, the IBM Centre, the Technology Park, and other structures and projects. Dual degree programmes, as well as faculty and student exchange schemes with national and international higher education institutions, are being successfully implemented.
Rector of Duzce University, Nedim Sozbir, expressed his satisfaction with the meeting, sharing information about the higher education institution he leads. He conveyed his confidence that the joint collaboration to be established with Nakhchivan State University will pave the way for successful projects in the future.
During the collaboration meeting, agreements were reached on doctoral-level training, the organisation of joint scientific conferences and research projects, the implementation of dual degree programmes, mutual activities of academic staff, and the expansion of student–faculty exchanges. Both universities intend to mutually benefit from each other’s scientific and educational-innovation infrastructure and to undertake joint initiatives in other areas of common interest. At the same time, within the framework of the collaboration, mutual proposals were put forward regarding prospective activities, particularly the planning of artificial intelligence–based projects.
Then, the parties signed the collaboration Memorandum of Understanding between Nakhchivan State University and Duzce University, followed by a commemorative photo session.
